Website Terms of Use
Last updated July 19, 2026
Welcome to blackmore.law, the website of Blackmore Law PLC (the "Firm," "we," "our," or "us"), 1100 Owendale Drive, Suite M, Troy, Michigan 48083. By using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. Information Only, Not Legal Advice
The content on this website is general information about our Firm and the law. It is not legal advice, and it may not reflect the most current legal developments. Do not act or rely on anything on this site without speaking to a lawyer about your specific situation.
2. No Attorney-Client Relationship
Visiting this website, submitting the contact form, sending us an email, or scheduling a consultation does not make you a client of the Firm. An attorney-client relationship is formed only when we complete a conflict check and both you and the Firm sign an engagement letter. Until then, please do not send us confidential or sensitive information. Unsolicited information you send before an engagement is confirmed may not be treated as confidential or privileged and does not prevent us from representing another party.
3. Where We Practice
Our attorneys are licensed in Michigan and Arizona. This website is not an offer to represent anyone in a jurisdiction where doing so would violate that jurisdiction's rules. Nothing on this site is a guarantee of any result. Every matter is different, and prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome.
4. Attorney Advertising Notice
This website may be considered attorney advertising. George T. Blackmore is the attorney responsible for its content: Blackmore Law PLC, 1100 Owendale Drive, Suite M, Troy, MI 48083, 888.835.2993. Every legal matter is different, and prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome. Any testimonials or endorsements that may appear on this site are not a guarantee, warranty, or prediction about the outcome of your matter. The identification in this section also appears in the footer of every page of this website.
5. Consultations and Scheduling
You may schedule an initial consultation through this website. A consultation fee of $175 applies and will be credited to your first invoice if you retain the Firm. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us at least 24 hours' notice. Scheduling and payment are processed by third-party providers, and your use of those services is also subject to their terms. A paid consultation is limited legal advice for the consultation session only and does not, by itself, make the Firm your counsel for any ongoing matter.
6. Client Portal
If we give you access to our client portal, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us right away if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate portal access at any time for security reasons or when a representation ends. Communications with the Firm through the portal by existing clients are subject to your engagement agreement, not to the limitations in Section 2.
7. Our Content
The content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and design, belongs to the Firm or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view, download, and print pages for your personal, noncommercial use. Any other use, including republication or scraping, requires our written permission.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the site. This includes not attempting to gain unauthorized access to any system or account, not interfering with the site's operation, not uploading malicious code, and not using the site to harass others or to violate any law.
9. Third-Party Links and Services
This site links to and relies on third-party websites and services, such as scheduling, payment, and social media platforms. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices.
10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
This website is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Firm will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this website, and our total liability for any claim arising from the website will not exceed one hundred dollars ($100). Nothing in these Terms of Use limits the Firm's professional responsibilities to clients under a signed engagement agreement, and nothing in this section applies to liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
11. Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by Michigan law. Any dispute arising from your use of this website must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Oakland County, Michigan, and you consent to jurisdiction and venue there. This section applies to website disputes only; disputes with clients about legal services are governed by the client's engagement agreement.
12. Changes and General Terms
We may update these Terms of Use at any time by posting a revised version with a new "last updated" date. Your continued use of the site means you accept the revised terms. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Questions? Contact us at info@blackmore.law or (888) 835-2993.
